House GOP Unfreezes FISA, Farm Bill, Budget in Win for Speaker

The House adopted a procedural measure allowing GOP leaders to move forward on three mammoth legislative priorities Wednesday, notching a major win for Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) after days of Republican infighting and delays.

The rule advanced 216-210 with all Republicans in support.

The measure allows the House to debate and vote on an intelligence tool extension (S. 1318; BGOV Bill Analysis), the long-awaited farm bill (H.R. 7567), and a budget resolution (S. Con. Res. 33; BGOV Bill Analysis) to kick off Republicans’ second attempt at a party-line reconciliation bill.
