Rep. Anna Paulina Luna will move to force a vote on banning members of Congress from trading stocks if the House Administration Committee doesn’t seem “serious” about incorporating member feedback on legislation by Nov. 21, the Florida Republican said.
Luna said she and a bipartisan group of lawmakers pushing for a stock ban have already drafted a discharge petition on legislation that would prohibit lawmakers from trading individual stocks, which would force a vote if 218 lawmakers were to sign on. It will be “ready to go” the Monday after Thanksgiving break, she added.
