House Weighs Dueling Efforts on Epstein Files: Congress Tracker

House Republican leaders had hoped the controversy over files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein would blow over come September. It hasn’t.

Ten survivors of Epstein’s alleged crimes, which included sex trafficking, will speak to the press just outside the Capitol this morning as Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) seek more signatures on a discharge petition to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files. The White House has pushed back on the effort, calling it a “hoax” and denying the existence of an incriminating client list from the deceased Epstein.
