Ohio’s Brown Seeks Rare Quick Return to Senate After 2024 Defeat

Former Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown is running against history as he seeks a swift return to the chamber after his defeat just nine months ago.

If Brown (D) unseats Sen. Jon Husted (R), he would be the first defeated ex-senator to successfully punch a return ticket to the chamber since Slade Gorton (R-Wash.) in 1988, according to a Bloomberg Government review of Senate election results.
