Seventeen words in a little-noticed House resolution are inflaming debate over immigration in 2026 Democratic Senate primaries, in the wake of the recent shootings by federal agents in Minnesota.
Some House Democrats running for Senate are facing criticism from their primary opponents for voting last June for the nonbinding resolution (H. Res. 488) that mostly condemned an antisemitic terror attack in Boulder, Colo., but ended by saying it “expresses gratitude to law enforcement officers, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, for protecting the homeland.”
