Pentagon’s Tech Czar Warned of Innovation Mismatch by Watchdog

The Pentagon’s technology chief, Emil Michael, has little guarantee that research projects the military services are developing with their own budgeted dollars match the priorities he’s laying out for the department, according to a congressional audit released Thursday.

The Department of Defense risks a mismatch in its technology vision at a time when the US is seeking to outpace adversaries by adopting innovative technologies quickly, the Government Accountability Office warned in its report.
