Republicans Set Votes on Oil, Gas Expansion as Government Opens

Republican legislation that would boost domestic oil and gas production is on track for House passage this week.

Two energy bills and three disapproval resolutions that would repeal Biden-era land use limitations are among the measures the GOP-controlled House plans to vote on as it returns for its first full week of work after a nearly two-month hiatus during the government shutdown.

The GOP since the beginning of the year has used the Congressional Review Act as well as stand-alone bills to reverse key aspects of former President Joe Biden’s clean energy agenda.
