SEC Sports Lobbyist Casey Higgins Leaves Akin for Klein/Johnson

Casey Higgins, a lobbyist for sports and entertainment clients including the Southeastern Conference, is joining the Klein/Johnson Group, a bipartisan K Street advocacy shop, the firm shared first with Bloomberg Government.

Higgins’ arrival at Klein/Johnson comes as a signature bill for collegiate sports rules is scheduled for consideration on the House floor this week. The legislation, known as the SCORE Act (H.R. 4312) would codify rules for student athlete pay and bolster some antitrust protections for the NCAA.
