Senate Agriculture Chair Aims to Unveil Farm Bill by Mid-June

Senate Agriculture Chair John Boozman (R-Ark.) said Wednesday he’s aiming to release the long-awaited farm bill text as soon as next week.

“We’re waiting for a couple more CBO scores. And we hope to get it out late next week,” Boozman said, referring to the Congressional Budget Office, which provides financial analysis of proposed legislation.

“Sometime around then,” he added.

The House passed its version of the farm bill at the end of April.
