President Donald Trump announced he would attend the Group of Seven leaders summit in France, a gathering set to take place amid tensions between the president and US allies over the war in Iran.

Trump said Wednesday he would depart for the summit “immediately” after an Ultimate Fighting Championship match set to take place June 14 on the South Lawn of the White House. The annual meeting is scheduled for June 15-17 in Évian-les-Bains, France.
