Witkoff to Meet Zelenskiy, European Leaders at Weekend Talks (1)

US envoy Steve Witkoff is set to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and European leaders this weekend in Berlin, according to a White House official, as President Donald Trump intensifies his push for a peace deal.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and other European leaders, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, had already been planning to meet on Monday, according to Merz’s chief spokesman, Stefan Kornelius.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the plans for Witkoff to travel to Berlin for the weekend talks.
