America First Sues GAO to Access Immigrant Children Records (1)

America First Legal Foundation told a federal court that the US General Accountability Office is an executive agency that must respond to its Freedom of Information Act request for government records about refugee resettlement.

AFL is a conservative organization founded by Stephen Miller to promote transparency in government. It filed its FOIA request to obtain records concerning a GAO report that said the Department of Health and Human Services wasn’t meeting its targets for how frequently it visits facilities that help resettle unaccompanied refugee children.
