Appeals Court Sides With Dentons, Boies Schiller in Client Fight

Boies Schiller Flexner and Dentons US prevailed Tuesday at a US appeals court against allegations that the two law firms schemed to shake down a client for legal fees.

Racketeering claims by Frank Corsini and his companies are without merit, the three-judge appellate panel for the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit found.

A Southern District of New York judge dismissed Corsini’s claims in September, leading to the appeal. Circuit judges John Walker Jr., Michael Park, and Eunice Lee determined the district court correctly ruled that Corsini failed to sufficiently make a RICO claim.
