A group brainstorming alternatives to American Bar Association accreditation for Florida law schools will have until the end of October to pitch its plan to the Florida Supreme Court.
The workgroup, formed by the state high court and helmed by former Justice Ricky Polston, will have until Oct. 31 to submit a report on whether Florida should open its state legal licensing test to those outside of mainstream legal education. Their report, originally due Sept. 30, could influence the court which holds power over the exclusive bar acceptance in the booming Sunshine State legal market.
