Foley & Lardner Loses Bid to End Palestinian Lawyer’s Bias Case

A federal judge has dismissed Foley & Lardner’s motion for summary judgment in a case accusing the firm of pulling a job offer from a Palestinian-American lawyer due to discrimination.

US District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman decided it would be more appropriate for a jury to rule on the facts, according to a Monday filing.

“If a lack of evidence that an employer explicitly announced discriminatory intent was sufficient to win summary judgment, plaintiffs would rarely prevail,” Coleman said.
