A federal judge in Delaware issued a standing order on Tuesday mandating law firms disclose any non-lawyer ownership or investment.
The standing order, issued by Chief Judge Colm F. Connolly, is specifically for lawyers who are not locally admitted in Delaware. Attorneys must certify whether their firms are owned in any part by non-lawyers and if those non-lawyers have decision-making authority over the firm.
