Evan Palenschat joined Sidley as a partner in its global finance practice in Chicago, the firm announced on Thursday.
Palenschat represents private credit funds, financial institutions, hedge funds, and public and private borrowers in complex financing matters, the firm said. His practice focuses on leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, opportunistic lending, and various types of financings including senior secured, second lien, subordinated, asset-based loans, preferred equity, and mezzanine financings.
He joins from Proskauer Rose.
