Simpson Thacher and Blank Rome Look to Boston for Outposts (1)

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett will open an office in Boston later this year, the firm said Wednesday.

Partner Kenneth E. Burdon will join the firm in the registered funds practice in the new office from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He advises clients on product development and distribution and related regulatory, compliance, and governance issues, as well as M&A, divestitures, and split-offs, said Simpson Thacher.
