An Irish patent monetization firm is suing Susman Godfrey and litigation funder Longford Capital in Houston to set aside a patent arbitration award of over $37 million.
Arigna Technology Ltd. filed suit Thursday in the District Court of Harris County alleging that arbitrators arrived at the award by corruption and fraud. Arigna, which is associated with Dublin-based patent monetization firm Atlantic IP Services Ltd., hired Susman in August 2020 to enforce patents, and Susman obtained funding from Longford for the litigation.
