Swimwear Maker Luli Fama Defeats Appeal in Influencer Ad Case

Swimsuit maker LuliFama.com LLC and a group of social media influencers convinced a federal appeals court not to revive a proposed consumer class action alleging the brand fraudulently failed to disclose it paid the content creators to endorse its products.

The US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit on Friday affirmed a lower court’s dismissal of the suit and said the lead plaintiff failed to meet the heightened pleading standards for claims based in fraud.
