- Quinn Emanuel partner Alex Spiro was named chairman of the board at Nebraska-based CleanCore Solutions as it launches what it calls the first official Dogecoin treasury. Spiro will oversee the company’s nearly $200 million effort to acquire Dogecoin as its primary reserve asset. (Business Insider)
- Two Canadian lawyers who hired a private investigator to follow a judge overseeing a case involving pandemic public health restrictions have been disbarred. Both lawyers represented churches in 2021 that tried to overturn Manitoba public health orders preventing in-person religious services during the Covid pandemic. During the court challenge, the lawyers hired a private investigator to follow Manitoba Court of King’s Bench Chief Justice Glenn Joyal, who was overseeing the case, in a bid to see if he was violating the restrictions. - Indianapolis bankruptcy attorney Mark Zuckerberg is suing Meta over repeated confusion with its CEO. The attorney is suing Meta for negligence and breach of contract, saying that Facebook shuts down his pages for using a “false name” and “impersonating a celebrity.” Zuckerberg said his business account has been suspended five times in the last eight years, and his personal account has been shut down four. - Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s 80-year-old election lawyer, Martin Connor, has been at it since 1970 with no plans to stop. “The New York Times said, ‘Well, you do election law, you kick people off the ballot,’” he said. “Yeah, sometimes, but realistically, 95% of what I do is get people on the ballot, and keep them there.” (AMNY)
