Hollywood Gear Supplier Quixote to Exit Atlanta Operations

Quixote, a supplier of gear to movie and TV productions, is shutting down its Atlanta-area operations and exiting many of its soundstages in Los Angeles in the latest sign of the slump in US entertainment filming.

The subsidiary of Hudson Pacific Properties Inc. will continue to rent products such as lighting gear, make-up trailers and camera trucks out of its Los Angeles and New York locations, Quixote said in a statement Tuesday. The actions will save up to $27 million in costs annually.
