A job applicant alleging Workday Inc.’s screening software discriminated against her based on physical disabilities failed to explain how the technology could do that, a federal judge said in dismissing her claims.
The plaintiff, Jill E. Hughes, said she has applied and been rejected for hundreds of positions via Workday’s hiring platform, with rejections often coming by automated email. Hughes is a cancer survivor and suffers from asthma, according to the latest amended complaint in the litigation in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
