The Ninth Circuit appeared likely Monday to narrow a lower court’s temporary order limiting who federal agents can use force against at protests, Maia Spoto reports.
A California federal court last year blocked US agents from firing crowd control weapons at people not threatening them. The federal appeals panel indicated at arguments Monday that the order was likely too broad, signaling they’d likely permanently narrow the preliminary injunction.
