Ohio Adopts 2026 Map Boosting GOP in Two Democrat-Held Seats (2)

Ohio’s bipartisan redistricting commission unanimously backed new congressional lines for the 2026 elections that tilt two districts toward Republicans.

The seven-member panel, whose five Republicans include Gov. Mike DeWine, voted for a compromise map with support from the commission’s two Democrats, state Senate Minority Leader Nickie J. Antonio and state House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn, whose votes were required for passage.
