US Futures Erase Gains as Big Earnings Week Starts: Markets Wrap

US equity futures retreated from early highs as caution returned at the start of a week that will feature Nvidia Corp.’s earnings and the release of long-delayed economic data.

Futures on the S&P 500 were little changed after wiping gains of as much as 0.7%, extending a volatile stretch for stocks. The advance in Nasdaq 100 contracts also faded, though Alphabet Inc. rose 3.4% in premarket trading after Berkshire Hathaway Inc. disclosed a $4.9 billion stake. Nvidia fell more than 1%.

Bitcoin steadied after erasing its year-to-date advance. Treasuries rose and the dollar headed for back-to-back gains.
