AT&T Gets FCC Approval to Acquire EchoStar Spectrum Licenses

AT&T Mobility II, a subsidiary of AT&T, received the FCC’s approval to acquire EchoStar’s 600 MHz and 3.45 GHz spectrum licenses.

  • Wireless Telecommunications Bureau issued the approval
  • FCC finds that the likelihood of competitive harm is low
  • AT&T to use this spectrum to improve its 5G network’s coverage, capacity, and performance throughout the country
  • Assignments to allows EchoStar to improve services provided to its Boost Mobile customers
