Ex-Capula Compliance Head’s Suit Against Firm Is Dismissed (1)

Capula Investment Management won dismissal on jurisdictional grounds of a lawsuit by its former US compliance chief, who claimed he was wrongfully fired for raising concerns about the hedge fund’s expensing of artwork and private jet travel.

Igor Abramov sued his former employer in November in Manhattan federal court. US District Judge Ronnie Abrams ruled Wednesday that she didn’t have jurisdiction over the case since both Abramov and a Capula limited partner are based in Connecticut.
