Nasdaq to Invest $50 Million in Gemini Crypto Exchange (2)

The Winklevoss twins’ Gemini Space Station Inc. has secured a $50 million investment from Nasdaq Inc. in a private placement as the crypto exchange prepares for an initial public offering.

The investment strengthens the ties between one of the leading traditional finance firms and the upstart digital-asset sector. As part of the agreement, Nasdaq’s institutional clients will be able to use Gemini’s custody and staking services, while clients of the crypto exchange will have access to Nasdaq’s platform for collateral management and tracking trading activity.
