Swiss Re Parts Ways With Life & Health Exec After Profit Warning

Swiss Re AG has parted ways with the chief underwriting officer in its life and health business months after the reinsurer scrapped its full-year profit target for the unit.

The departure of Julien Descombes, who had been with Swiss Re for close to three decades, was announced internally last week according to people with knowledge of the communication. A replacement has yet to be announced, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information is not public.

A representative for Swiss Re declined to comment.
