Apple, Inc. and a group of its sales workers ended a wage dispute over an alleged failure to calculate overtime hours properly and unpaid travel time after a California federal court gave final approval to their $500,000 settlement.
The solutions consultants, who promote the sales of Apple products within non-Apple retail stores, sued the company in 2022. Apple failed to include all required forms for compensation — including commissions — used to calculate overtime pay, their amended complaint said. They also said a group of opt-in workers weren’t paid for transit time.
