Four More States Join Justice Department’s Apple Antitrust Fight

Massachusetts, Indiana, Nevada and Washington have signed on to the Justice Department’s civil antitrust lawsuit against Apple Inc. claiming the tech giant monopolizes multiple smartphone markets.

Those states bring to 20 the number of co-plaintiffs now part of the DOJ case filed in March in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.

The growing case, which initially included 15 states and Washington D.C., adds legal pressure to Apple over business practices related to its App Store policies and alleged attempts to dominate the smartphone market.
