The Alabama Legislature enacted a law authorizing Henry County to levy a lodging tax on hotels, motels, and similar businesses, at a rate not exceeding 4 percent of the charge for rooms, lodgings, or accommodations, including charges for use or rental of personal property and services furnished in the room.
