Auditors Worry About Clients’ CPA Shortages, Survey Finds

Small companies and those in the technology and financial services sectors are most likely to feel the squeeze from a dearth of accountants, according to a survey of US audit partners released Friday.

Eighty-five percent of audit partners surveyed said they were either somewhat concerned or greatly concerned about how the companies they audit are coping with the national accountant shortage, according to the Center for Audit Quality survey.
