Bankman-Fried, Adelson Give $1 Million in Texas Governor’s Race

Out-of-state billionaires including crypto entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried and casino investor Miriam Adelson are writing big checks to back their preferred candidates in the Texas governor’s race.

Last month, Bankman-Fried donated $1 million to Beto O’Rourke’s campaign, which is the single largest donation the Democrat received in the latest fundraising round that spanned July 1 to Sept. 29, according to filings from the Texas Ethics Commission published Wednesday.
