The announcement includes: 1) the Dec. 15, 2025, tax payment deadline for vehicles registered as of Jan. 1, 2025, or registered for the first time between Jan. 1, 2025, and Sept. 30, 2025; 2) the June 15, 2026, tax payment deadline for vehicles registered for the first time between Oct. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2025; and 3) examples for using shorter tax periods due to a vehicle’s loss, transfer, or destruction.
