KPMG Appoints Former FASB Member, SEC Chief Accountant to Board

KPMG US announced the appointment of James Kroeker as an independent director to its US Board of Directors.

Kroeker brings extensive experience in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting, having served as vice chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and chief accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the firm said Thursday. He has led initiatives to enhance financial disclosure and worked to improve transparency and reduce complexity in financial reporting.

Kroeker has also held leadership positions at Deloitte, where he consulted on accounting standards and supported engagement teams.
