LexisNexis Data Analyst’s H-1B Denial Reversed by Federal Judge

A data analyst for LexisNexis can continue to work for the company following a federal judge’s ruling that her H-1B visa was unreasonably denied.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Aug. 5 issued a strong rebuke of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ rejection of the company’s petition on the ground that it didn’t prove that the position was a “specialty occupation” as required for the visa.
