The New Mexico Governor signed a law related to financing highway projects. The law includes: 1) providing additional bonding authority to the State Transportation Commission for highway projects; 2) increasing the weight distance tax for non-bus motor vehicles; 3) raising passenger vehicle registration fees; and 4) establishing new fees for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with proceeds directed to the State Road Fund.
