Nigeria Raised Most Funds for Blockchain Firms in Africa in 2021

Nigeria raised $49.6m for 18 new blockchain ventures in 2021, Standard Bank and Crypto Valley Venture Capital say in their inaugural African Blockchain report.

  • Seychelles raised $33.8m to fund four companies, Kenya $20m for one firm and South Africa $18.89m to finance five enterprises
  • Blockchain funding grew 11 times faster than all other sectors in the year
