German steelmaker Thyssenkrupp AG paid €1 million ($1.2 million) in global minimum taxes in its first year of implementation, the company said Tuesday.
The group, which posted sales of €32.8 billion in its 2024-25 financial year, was subject to Germany’s Minimum Tax Act for the first time after it came into law at the end of 2023, according to its latest annual report.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s global minimum tax, known as Pillar Two, seeks to charge companies a 15% minimum tax rate in all jurisdictions in which they operate.
