Amazon, Last-Mile Drivers Nab Court Approval for Wage Settlement

Amazon package delivery workers secured a federal judge’s final approval for a $1 million deal to end their wage suit against the retailer after the court rejected an earlier version.

The settlement, which covers Memphis-area drivers who delivered Amazon packages for last-mile provider JARS TD Inc., provides $560,000 for the workers based on how many weeks they completed overtime, with the bulk of the remainder allocated to attorneys’ fees, the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee said.
