Arbitrator Dale A. Slagley ruled that St. Louis University Hospital didn’t violate its collective bargaining agreement with the nurses’ union when it paid the grievant nurse only holiday pay instead of holiday pay plus weekend differential pay. The union argued that it hadn’t agreed to change the type of pay available to the nurses in holiday/weekend pay situations.
