EEOC Acting Chair to Spur Pregnancy Bias Rule Reconsideration

EEOC Acting Chair Andrea Lucas will instruct the commission to re-evaluate rules under a landmark pregnancy law once a quorum of members is re-established, she said in a statement.

Lucas’s newly issued statement indicates she may push for a rescission by vote of parts of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act final rules that she voted against at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 2024.
