The Federal Emergency Management Agency is terminating its chief financial officer and three other employees involved in payments to New York City for migrant accommodations, the Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday.
Trump adviser Elon Musk posted on X about the payments Monday, saying FEMA had sent $59 million to house migrants in “luxury hotels,” which he said violated directives from President Donald Trump to block funding that aids immigrants in the US illegally. Trump on Tuesday called to dismantle FEMA altogether.
