A Maryland federal court tossed an insurance agent’s revised racial discrimination suit against several Erie Indemnity Co. units, holding the claims were untimely.
Claims based on postcontract discrimination are subject to a four-year statute of limitations, and the last possible date on which any discrimination was alleged in the case at hand came under a termination letter that took effect in August 2020, the US District Court for the District of Maryland said in a Monday order, dismissing the suit with prejudice.
