London Tube Strike Set to Cause Travel Chaos for Commuters (2)

Workers in London are bracing for a tough commute home after drivers on the UK capital’s Underground train network went on strike.

Staff on the Tube walked out at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, the first of two 24-hour strikes this week. Commuters who risked going into the office face potentially complicated journeys home, with buses and alternative routes expected to be busier than normal.

Most lines were either facing severe or minor delays, with the Circle line suspended and the Central, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines part suspended as of 4.30 p.m., according to TfL’s website.
