NLRB Picks Inch Closer to Confirmation With Senate Panel Hearing

Nominees to fill two of the four empty National Labor Relations Board seats will get a hearing before a Senate panel Oct. 1, marking an important step towards restoring the agency’s ability to fully operate.

Scott Mayer, chief labor counsel at the Boeing Co., and James Murphy, a former career NLRB lawyer, will appear before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, the panel announced Wednesday.
