Senate Republicans are planning to advance 11 nominees to serve at the US Labor Department and other federal labor agencies later this month.
Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) filed an executive resolution Thursday to authorize consideration of a batch of 108 nominations, which includes picks for various top enforcement positions at the DOL, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The DOL is currently relying on acting leadership for several of its key offices, with nearly no nominees in place outside the Secretary and Deputy Secretary’s offices.
