Vanderbilt University reached a settlement with a group of current and former students in an antitrust case over an alleged financial aid scheme among more than a dozen top schools.
Terms of the deal announced last week weren’t disclosed and are still subject to approval by the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Vanderbilt is the second college to reach a settlement in the case after the University of Chicago settled for $13.5 million this summer, placing pressure on other defendant schools to also reach agreement with students.
